The Cheddar Confederate is one of the most influential nations in the world. It was formed after the abdication of King Edward and his priest, Stinking Bishop. The Cheddar Confederate quickly took centre stage after the breakdown of the hierarchy of the three most powerful cheeses.
The cheddar armies, led by Marshall Tomme De Romans quickly asserted dominance over smaller nations, making it the leader in the race to take hold of the weak political situation at the time.
As the Confederation grew so did its problems, because it was so large smaller nations who were ony just joining the race, such as the Swiss Empire started to slowly pick away at the weaker borders.
Eventaully the Confederations council voted that they should withdraw troops from the smaller outlying provinces. This was met with ill response from many, the most prominent being the Marshall and later on that year, after being stripped of his title and power led a small rebellion through the southern Confederation lands.
Another commander who had also served under Tomme and who had also lost his rank was asked to help quell this rebellion before it started hurting the incredibly fragile economy which the Chedder federation held on a thread.
Pheel M'flavour then lead a force of soldiers to meet with Tomme. Although Pheel was outnumbered his men held superior speed and firepower over the lumbering beast which was Marshall Tomme De Romans army.
Pheel then lead tactical raids and soon in one of these military excursions captured Tomme. After tense interogation the seperation of the various parts of the rebel movement it crumbled on its own momentum, unable to hold the small swathe of lands which it had taken.
Not two months later the Swiss Empire led a full scale war upon the Confederation, the council, after the loss of many soldiers in their expansion and in failed attempts to stop the rebels were desperate. They called upon Pheel M'Flavour and he accepted the offer but he could not fully hold back the Swiss when he was outgunned, out manned and sometimes even outmanouvered.
The Made Alliance sent emissaries to the Federation saying that if they would give an eighth of land to them they would aid the Federation in their struggle against the Empire.
There was much debate but after almost all of their own lands were lost and their economy in tatters they agreed. Withing days of the signing of the treaty Made soldiers attacked the Swiss army. The Swiss were worn dpwn already with the constant attcks of Pheels men and so led a hasty retreat.
With help from the Made Alliance the Confederation started to biuld up its army and economy. After electing Pheel M'Flavour as the head of the council they slowly pushed back and eventually retook most of their lands although the Swiss Empire still poses as a large threat.
The Made alliance is not a very long running power and unlike the Cheddar Confederation did not participate in the post King Edward Rat Race for power. In fact the Made Alliance did not exist until late race anyway.
For many years the small country of Edam had had goant chunks ripped out of it by the more perful nations. It was also where the Stinking Biship had fled to and after many years of being dominated it lashed out.
Mustering a large force, almost every man in the populace they marched toward their main agressor - the Brie Principality. Although thier amy had few supllies and lacked equipment they after many battles managed to gain pack a large portion of the land they had lost.
Stinking Bishop renamed himself as Bishop Kennedy and took over the Edam government, causing inner strife and fighting. Seeing the collapsation of the Edam political system Brie struck back, plowing into their lands once again.
A civil war ensued after Bishop Kennedy decided to completely destroy the govern of Edfam and he took over as king. Although many of the Bishop's Supporters called this a good move much of the population did not and as more and more lands were taken from them a civil war broke out.
Bishop Kennedy immediately went to crush this rebellion himself with a large force which he had kept in reserve even in the onslaight of Brie's main attack. By the time the Bishop reached the rebels they had already allied with the smaller countries and outlying regions of Edam, and most of all they had allied with Brie.
They formed the Made alliance and were embroiled in a bloody war with Bishop Kennedy. While this was happening a small squad of made Alliance troops, led by the old Edam government swept past the Bishop's lines and staged a coup in Edam's capital city.
Immediately power rebels which had been waiting in the lowlands around the city and rebels in the city took control, siezing the high seat of power from the Bishop. The Bishop on the other hand had not heard of this development and nor his soldiers and fighting continued until a week after the coup.
The Edam army, realizing that they no longer had to take orders from Kennedy attacked the Bishop. Only a few of his supporters fought but they were outnumbered a thousand to one and were soon beaten. Edam finally joined the Made Alliance and became the main power in it, Brie giving back Edam lands which it had previously taken.
The Made alliance eventually turned the seperate nations within it into states and formed a single coherent country. As their economy flourished it was seen as a peaceful and safe haven for many of the refugees which had been stranded after the Cheddar confederate had thrown out all non Cheddar's before attempting to defend itself from the Swiss Empire.
This influx of people caused a drain on the economy that the Made Alliance could hardly hold. After the haeds of State were summoned decisive action was made and an emissary was sent to the Cheddar Confedarate proclaiming that the Made Alliance would fight with Cheddar if it offered up an eighth of its lands.
The Made Alliance waited but the reply was not coming and they were losing money incredibly fast and were on the brink of crumbling in on itself. Just when the Made Alliance was about to split the Cheddar Confederation agreed.
Although the war effort costed money the Cheddar Confederation had still been considerably large and the new lands allowed the Alliance to bring itself back up into a state of economical and influential promionence on the surrounding lands, including the Cheddar Confederate.
The Made Alliance slowly grew with time as smaller countries joined but these countries did not come without their problems, many were embroiled in viscous wars and their only chance was the Alliance while others had infertile lands and little or no money income.
Eventually the Alliance stopped accepting offers for states to join them as they were preparing for the second war against the Swiss Empire.
Fetta - Mozzerella is one of the most, if not the most powerful country in the world. It was built on the fundamentals of kill or be killed and it has kept to this motto for as long as any person can remember.
Fetta - Mozzerella was not the fastest country to come to power, nor was it very influential at the start of the rat race for power. Fetta - mozzerella was formed when two quite large countries, Fetta and Mozzerella united in search of larger lands.
Each had large armies and when they united only a power such as the Cheddar Confederate could have stopped them at that time but they were far more concerned about the war of attrition with the Swiss Empire to care.
With these arrangements Fetta - Mozzerella grew largely uninhibited by the debilitating wars which had bogged down other countries, looking for big prizes. Instead, Fetta - Mozzerella picked on weak, small countries and soon was a super power with the largest army in the known world.
What stopped Fetta - Mozzerella growing at the height of its power was the rebellions. There has been an uncountable number of uprisings sinze the founding of Fetta Mozzerella although after time most died down.
There were a few patriots such as Red leicester left but most had accepted the rule of Fetta - Mozzerella.
Fetta Mozzerella, after the time of rebellions began to build its economy, cities and Landscape. Soon it had trade enough to have as much income as the Made Alliance and an army as large as the Cheddar Confederate, in fact, the Swiss Empire had requested their alliance.
Time passed and they grew until their archduke was assasinated and they went to war.
